The National Writing Project’s Write Out 2026 invites writers of all ages to explore, write, and connect with their communities. Free and open to everyone, this annual event encourages participants to draw inspiration from the places around them through writing and storytelling. If you'd like to participate in the National Writing Project's Write Out 2026 celebration, taking place October 11-25, visit their website: https://writeout.nwp.org/.

At the National Writing Project of Acadiana, we're putting our own local spin on Write Out! Thanks to our close partnership with Festivals Acadiens et Créoles, we're creating special opportunities for festivalgoers to write, reflect, and be inspired by the culture, music, food, and people that make the festival so unique. Please see below for the writing prompts and how to share your writing!
